You can use Axent's Netprowler (Promiscuious mode intrusion detection tool,
which kinda sux. I think it integrates pretty well with the raptor Firewall
though). My favorite, as always is SNORT (http://www.snort.org/). It's a
Linux-based intrusion detection system. It's a bit of a pain in the butt to
configure if you don't know what you're doing though. The upside is that
it's open-source.
