I am very interested in hardware load-sharing with fail-over solution for
two or multiple firewalls (Checkpoint for example). Since we are doing NAT
and client authentication on the firewall, we've found it difficult to
hardware switch devices. We tried Foundry and found problems. Any
successful experience would be appreciated.

Hey,
i just wanted to tell that this 2 pieces of hardware are pretty
different each of other.
As i understand Fireproof is used for loadbalancing between a number of
firewalls and VPN devices.
I used to work with RadWare WSD-pro and i am working now with Cisco
11150 switches. Cisco 11150 switches are used , for my opinion, for
different purposes and their spectrum much wider (for Web-traffic
balancing, DNS-balancing, firewall-balancing ,etc). What i mean that
it's hard to speak about them along - it's quite different devices.
The first question i wanted to ask you - what are your targets of using
this switches - and then probably i could advise you the piece of
hardware to use. There's also another options as F5, Foundry and Alteon
exist.
BTW - http://vegan.net/lb/ the site about different load balancers -
also as discussion (there's mailing list if you want to - thanks Tony
for running it :-)).
Regards,
