ISC2 (CISSP) is product certification? I always thought that was one of the
few decent "independents".
For IEEE, I can't say. I only recently joined up, and they've not sent me
anything yet to confirm my membership (other than cashing my check ;-) ).
But for USENIX, I know that SAGE is working on a certification program.
Details are available on the SAGE Web site through http://www.usenix.org/ .
For the moment, it's still being researched and drafted, however.
