What kind of flooding? If mailbombing, just procmail the offending
messages to /dev/null. If a ping flood, ask your upstream ISP to filter
it out.

I suggest using ipchains, or better still, upgrade to the latest
kernel, and use iptables.

We will be glad to help, but you will have to give a lot more details.
If it is just a mailbombing, and your mailbox is remote, ask your
mailhost to procmail the offender to /dev/null.
