Turning off name resolution speeds it up some ("select, options", uncheck
resolve addresses).

My log viewer is very slow.I thought it was because of the size of the log
file.
I scheduled fw logswitch with cron to be rplaced every day thus keeping the
size of the log file pretty small but it had no effect on log viewer
performance.
Is there anything else that can be done to speed it up?
