Hi all, I need some help with IPchians.
I have a redhat 7.1 box with 2 interfaces. I have secured the box (turned off all unwanted services etc) and got the 2 nics runnig fine. Here is the situation:
I have 1 machine that needs to be nat'ed to the outside world (10.0.0.2) running NT.
The firewall has the following internal and external interfaces respectively (10.0.0.1) and (x.x.x.a).
I have 3 machines that need to conect to it from externally (x.x.x.b,c,d).
I can allow all connections out from internally (obviously it would be better to restrict this) but only port yyy from externally and only those machines.
My woes come in with MASQ .... I understand the concept fine and the rules concept fine, its just putting it into practice. According to one site, 7.1 comes std out the box ready for MASQ but then another says that I am missing some files. I'm kinda getting really confused at the moment, as this is my first time working with ipchains.
I just need to get this going for now ..... any help is appreciated.
Mark
