This LinkSys device is not a modem. It is a cable/DSL NAT router plus
4 port switch plus 802.11b wireless Ethernet access point.

Note: IPSEC uses IP upper layer protocols 50 and 51 (not ports 50 and 51).
These correspond to the AH and ESP protocols.
For IPSEC you need to connect to the LinkSys NAT router via the internal
web interface ( http://192.168.1.1 on most ) using a PC behind the router.
You then need to go to the 'Filters' configuration tab and allow IPSEC
tunneling outbound by enabling the option labeled 'IPSEC passthru' and
then click on Apply.
