Hello,
I have a laptop running win2k professional.
Apparently secure remote had not been properly
installed/uninstalled earlier as a result it kept
complaining that "FW is running on this machine or
something like that" when I tried to re-install.
So I ended up removing the FW key from the registry.
Now the re-install is successfull. However when I try
to invoke securemote (4.1 Sp4 Build 4184), it comes up
with an "initialization error". What does this mean?.
I have even tried removing from Control panel,
add/remove programs, manually removed all the "in use"
files/dirs, removed registry entries related to
checkpoint or FW and started all over again. The
result is the same. Short of re-installing the O/S,
are there any other options?. Time is very short, so I
appreciate if I can get a quick response. TIA.
