Alternatively, (and much more safely),

You could:
1) Boot in single user mode ("boot -s" from the OK> prompt)
2) you will probably need to mount /var ("mount -a")
3) edit /etc/inittab to change the ttya ttymon to run whatever console you
have:
change '-T sun' to '-T vt100' or '-T wy50' etc..
4) exit from single user mode (either 'shutdown -i6 -g0 -y' or 'exit')

This will fix things so that Solaris knows that your console is not a Sun
terminal.
This may fix your Gauntlet Quick Configuration Wizard problems as well.
