My 2c.
A classic for this is Jurassic Park.
The bit towards the end, where it shows this nice 19" monitor with pretty graphics etc. The girl (Alexis 'Lex' Murphy - Thx IMDB) says "I know this. This is Unix" and proceeds to 'navigate' it with what looks to be a Logitech Wingman or similar. I have always found this one to be a classic. I know X has progressed but I don't think it's that far yet (also considering JP was 1993).

So true. Or you see a main frame screen come up in a PC that does not appear to be
on a network. I know that people do believe that it all does happen, look at the way
they did network security in Hacker. Then the kid, he is dnloading a file to his
MAC, about 80% of the dnload is done. He turns off the machine and put the disk
away. Now because of this disk he can cause the FBI so much grief.
