PIX" to mean.... it has a GUI.
Well, the latest PIX OS has a GUI.
Both have VPN capabilities, I think the CheckPoint clients are better.
Both support IPSEC.
The 515 is cheaper.
The PIX does not run on top of another OS.
Cisco Tech support is first class.
You asked for opinions...... I have worked with both, I prefer the PIX. I
use Cisco equipment and the PIX OS is close enough to make it easy to learn.
I have yet to have a performance problem with the PIX.
