I have done it with below lines:

logging on
logging timestamp
no logging console
no logging monitor
logging buffered debugging
logging facility 20
logging host inside x.x.x.x

and a conduit
conduit permit udp host x.x.x.x eq 514 a.a.a.a
(a.a.a.a is the PIX IP)

--Fatemeh T.

-------
Thats what I was hoping for but the PIX does not have
that option (unless I'm missing something)....... I'm
using 6.1.(1)

Cheers
Mark

As far as I can remember you can do it the same as a
router

setup a syslog server somewhere

then:
logging on
logging host <optional int> A.B.C.D
<you can change syslog facility and level etc.>
access-list 101 permit ip any any log

>From my haze pix remembrances I think this should
work.

Hi all,

This is for those of you who work with a Pix firewall
....

Is there a way that I can get the pix to log packets
that are excepted ?

Cheers
