"In a test from issue 01/02 c't pointed out several security problems
within the Firewall SmoothWall. In a response and in a commentary on
Slashdot the developers dismissed this concern as unsubstantiated. But
the issues raised are not only theoretical. Further tests have shown
tangible ways to exploit the design flaws. Using this "exploit" both the
Firewall itself as well as computers which are connected to the internet
over it, can be attacked."
