I will be extremely surprised if at least one of you is not called upon as
an expert by an honestly concerned and bewildered parent.

I will also be extremely surprised if this article does not provoke many
parents to unjustly accuse their technologically savvy children of
antisocial, criminal behavior. Many of these parents may be considered the
technology gurus in their local communities, at home, work, school, church,
etc., but if their experience is limited to commercial applications running
exclusively on Microsoft platforms and a handful of Microsoft's arch
rivals, then they may have no knowledge or experience in any of the many,
many areas where this article makes false or misleading (but funny) statements.

If you can save a family from descending into an ugly, damaging conflict,
it will be very worthwhile.

Do not disagree with the parent on technological grounds. They may not
understand what you are saying. Their children may have already attempted
to argue against the article on the basis of facts, not been believed, and
the parents may have been more entrenched in their false opinions.

Ask them to look around at other articles on the site. All of them are
jokes. They will get some of the jokes and will eventually realize that
they are all jokes. Even this one that plays on their fears, and incites
them with a lot of nonsense.
