Hi. I'm looking for some suggestions on firewall products for a small business. There seem to be a wide range of options in the $500-$1500 range.
Some of the products I'm looking at include: Sonicwall Pro 100 Symantec VelociRaptor Symantec Firewall Appliance 200 Cisco Pix 506 Nokia ?? Does anyone have good information sites that I could use to help compare different firewalls? I have looked at each manufacturer's site, but was looking for ratings, comparisons and such. A "Consumer-Reports" style list of pros, cons and ratings would be great. We have about a dozen workstations, 2 e-mail servers, 2 web servers and 2 file servers. One of the web servers is going to be an extranet, so that will need to be accessible from the outside. The whole company is at the one location. Our connectivity is a full T-1, and we would like to be able to keep the firewall from being a bottleneck. (T-1 throughput seems pretty low for firewalls, really.) Whatever we buy should be fairly flexible and easy to maintain. Ideas? Thanks.
