Actually, each interface has it's own mac (qfe, hme, whatever), sun just uses a
hash of the hostid by default instead on all interfaces.
If you set the prom variable "use-local-mac?" to true, each interface will have
it's own hardware address.
you can still change it with ifconfig though, (it DOES require superuser access
however)

Yep- I just found it out after digging around a bit after I sent this, I'm
