This sounds not like a firewall problem to me, but like a DNS problem. This
is indicative of the machine which you are trying to telnet into trying to
do a reverse DNS lookup on the client. Apparently there is not an entry
which will alllow the host to do this, so after a minute it times out and
just lets you conect. Do you have an internal DNS server?
