I recall when our HS back in the early 70's got a terminal in, with a tape
reader, and there was no monitor it was all served out on teletype, back
to the mainframe.  BASIC, ws an interesting toy, we had fun playing old
games on it like checkers and such, I think I still have the code on a
printout here someplace for a numbers quessing game.

I've an exwife from the mid-70's era, just after HS, that trained and was
employeed as a key-puncher.  I wonder how many still make a living doing
that?

Yet, Paul, you and I are stiill mudpuppies to the experneices of some here
that played with systems as if not more limiting then those old DOS boxes
we started on.

What were the memory limitations of the old pdp systems like the 10 and 11
that I'm sure some here on the list played upon?
