Hi everyone, I guess I'll add my two cents as well.
Me too ;-))
Just because someone writes an endorsement letter,
does not mean
that that person is sufficiently qualified
or familiar enough with the
CISSP candidates knowledge
and skills to legitimize that candidate. Small
to medium
size businesses that don't have formal IT departments
may have
no clue at all. That said, I don't think the
endorsement letters are
necessarily a bad idea, but
rather need some structure to be useful.
Sounds like trying to ride a dead horse to me, huh?
Why try to improve some process, which lots of
"security experts" doubt to be functional, yet useful?
For me CISSP gains NOTHING with that funny
letter of approvement by an "expert"...
