Dear CMS and EE undergrads, grads, and postdocs,

I am writing to invite anyone that is interested to apply for positions on the
student advisory councils in the CMS department and the CMS-EE Partners
Program. The deadline for applications is July 31, and you can apply through
the form at: https://forms.gle/2Vf1qan2YHFSpbxKA

There will be four advisory councils for the 2021-21 school year. Selection
will be done independently for each, and you can be on more than one, so apply
for all you are interested in. The four councils are:

Undergraduate CMS Advisory Council: A general council focused on all aspects of
undergrad life (academic, social, grad school/career preparation) in CMS. Meets
quarterly. Open to all undergrads majoring or minoring in an option in the CMS
department. The council strives to have diverse representation across majors,
houses, target career (academia/industry), and demographics.

Graduate CMS Advisory Council: A general council focused on all aspects of
graduate life (academic, social, career preparation) in CMS. Meets quarterly.
Open to grad students in all options of the CMS department. The council strives
to have diverse representation across options, target career
(academia/industry), and demographics.

DEI in CMS Advisory Council: A council focused on all aspects of departmental
life (academic, social, grad school/career preparation) in CMS with an emphasis
on how identities intersect with each of these aspects. Meets monthly. Open to
undergrads, grads, postdocs, staff, and faculty in CMS.

CMS-EE Partners Program Advisory Council: A council focused on the department's
relationships with industry and alums, entrepreneurship, and career
development. Meets monthly. Open to undergrads, grads, and postdocs in CMS and
EE.

We look forward to seeing your applications.

warmly,
Claire (and Adam and Chris)
