Dear FISers, I have just printed the whole stuff discussed these days. Among the many cogent reflections (for the weekend study) I only miss comments on the peculiar web of knowledge that Stan's question "excites".
Almost any discipline (dozens of them at least) may raise their hand to respond the metaquestion. However, by definition, disciplinary constructions are closed or "disciplined" into some worldview conceptualization. Then, the necessity to combine points of view arises. But how? As can be seen in any of the messages, those interdisciplinary combinations easily become open-ended... For me, social construction, historicity, individual's limitations, neurodynamics of human knowledge, and particularly the poor conceptualization of the "info problem" are inevitable ingredients of this discussion too. best wishes Pedro PS.
