Dear Mark.
I try to answer Q.3.
3. Is it necessary/useful/reasonable to make a distinction between information
and an information carrier?
Yes, it is. For example, in words for the illiterate, as well as in abstract
art and animals’ sound for the vast majority of people information is not equal
an information carrier. The line trend of words when someone writes, the
vibration frequency and intensity of sound when someone speaks are not its
information.
