That is very strange. According to my darcs repo, share/fish _is_ in
the repo. Does such a file exist on your system?
Not after running make distclean. It is in the repo though. Seems like
it shouldn't be removed by distclean like etc/fish is because it isn't
regenerated by ./configure.
