i managed to search for them using mutt, but it was tricky:
to search for a \ i needed to enter: ~b \\\\

but there is nothing about problems, it only makes my request a repetition...
(i should spend more time reading the archive)

btw, does anyone have a complete archive of the list in mbox, maildir or
similar file format? i managed to get the gmane through the news
interface (which allowed me to download each message into a seperate
file, which i could simply stuff into a maildir)
but the gmane archive only goes back to mid december.

if someone could make the folder containing all fish-users mails from
2005 available for download, i'd really appreciate that.
