hmm, will that have an impact on the number of history entries that can
be stored? or will the limit be increased? maybe the duplicates can be
removed when fishd starts?

i think the mixin of comands from other sessions is significant.
when you have a sequence of commands that you want to repeat it may be
confusing to suddenly have other commands in the history. but more often
than not, i do want to share the commands, so i do like it anyways.
