I'm very sorry for the delayed response.

Thank you for the bug report. I tried to reproduce the issue for a
while and could find no memory bugs reported using valgrind.  If you
see this issue again, especially in a more recent fish version, please
rereport it. As it is, there is not much more for me to do. :-(
