I often type things like "apt-get install package" and forget to type the sudo. So it complains, and then I type "sudo !!"
http://xkcd.com/149/ Anyway, it doesn't work in fish. But probably, instead of spending a lot of time making it work, it would be better if you spent time making fish recognize when a user has to be root in the first place, printing a warning message about it, and then asking directly for their password. You seem to know different things about different programs, so it should use sudo for apt-get, for instance, while trying to use gksudo (if it exists) when typing something graphical, etc. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.net email is sponsored by: Microsoft Defy all challenges.
