I'm pretty happy with darcs, it's interactive features make it very smooth
to work with. But I would consider switching to git, simply because many
people know and use it, making it easier to get new contributors. The fact
that git is significantly faster than any other VCS under most workloads is
also a factor, but not that important for fish, since it's still a
comparatively small project.
