First off, let me say that I love fish and am using it as my default login shell on all my systems!
Having said that, I am running into any issue that is extremely annoying and I would love to be able to fix: Often, but not always, when I launch an interactive program (such as python, or bash, etc.) from fish, STDIN disappears (as in, I'm unable to see anything that I type). If I'm running fish from screen, then it seems to happen more frequently. As a workaround, what I am doing now if I want to run, say, python interactively from fish, is to first run bash, then run "reset" which seems to fix whatever is wrong, and then run python, and then exit bash back to fish. I searched the mailing list archives and found a similar topic "[bug] "and" in command list - no stdin echo", but without any responses: http://bit.ly/bmE6hY The test case shown in that email thread consistently shows the behavior. Thanks in advance for any help! Best regards, Preston
