i am fine with a message, just observing that the current message is not
acurate:

it is about stopped jobs, but also comes when there are running jobs
it warns about killing the job giving the impression that any job would
be killed, but only stopped jobs are killed.

it should either be seperate messages or a more general one:

There are stopped and/or background jobs. A second attempt to exit will
enforce termination of stopped jobs. Background jobs may fail to run
properly.

i prefer seperate messages:
There are stopped jobs. A second attempt to exit will enforce their termination.

There are active jobs in the background. A second attempt to exit will
succeed but may negatively affect the background jobs. To protect
background jobs, use nohup.

There are stopped and active jobs in the background. A second attempt to
exit will enforce termination of stopped jobs while active jobs may be
negatively affected. To protect active background jobs, use nohup.

greetings, martin.
