Hello all,
I'm brand new to the list, so if this has already been discussed, I
apologize.
My feature request is simple (to explain for sure, to implement, possibly):
* Have fish 'absorb' sudo when it is at the beginning of a command and
highlight the arguments to sudo as if the command you are sudoing was being
typed at the start of the prompt.
* sudo would still remain on the prompt (perhaps with a special highlight?)
and the remaining highlighting + suggestion scheme would apply as if the
prompt began after sudo.
* the current behavior effectively disables the visual feedback of whether
or not the command you are sudoing exists in the path
* one could argue that when you are about to sudo something, you need the
visual cues more than usual.
Any thoughts on this suggestion?
I'm assuming this is the right place to send feature ideas, if it isn't,
can someone please direct me to the correct place?
Thanks,
Mike C.
