Hello, I am suggesting that fish be given a builtin implementation of the 'which' command. Currently it seems that it will just fall to the 'which' that is in the path (if any).
In csh / tcsh 'which' is a builtin that will tell you if a command is an alias or tell you the path for the program (if it exists) I think fish could benefit from the same functionality, it could tell you if a command is a function, an abbreviation, a program, or doesn't exist in the path. Any thoughts on this? -Mike
