Hi all,

It's some years since we set up the infrastructure to run regular builds
of fish for Ubuntu, Debian, Fedora, RedHat and openSUSE, but I thought it
would be useful to remind all fish users that if you are interested in
helping us develop and test fish it would be really helpful if you ran a
development build.

It is unusual but possible for the shell to break, so you will need to
have bash, zsh or anothe shell installed and know how to start it in case
something goes wrong. Having good backups is a good idea too.

I have updated the wiki page at
https://github.com/fish-shell/fish-shell/wiki/Development-builds with
instructions for the above platforms, as well as how to get the latest
code (though without automatic updates) on macOS and Arch.

Any issues can be reported to GitHub or the mailing list.

Thanks,

David Adam
