I just stumbled upon the “Fuzzy history command match” issue thread on GitHub
and was very excited that history-pager supports fuzzy matching, at least from
how I understand it.

"The control-r history search now falls back to fuzzy matching.
Maybe we want the same for up-arrow search."
However, I can’t get the history-pager on fish 3.6.1 (on macOS and OpenBSD) to
do fuzzy matching; the other completions (like complete-and-search) do fuzzy
matching.
I’m still rather new to fish. Am I missing something?
I’m grateful for any hints or tips!
(I know there are also fzf plugins, but I always prefer to use the built-in
tools, if possible.)
