The blackest things I have ever seen were the eyes of a dog on the side of the road last night. It was only a glimpse--but it was enough. Anymore than that and I would've been lost forever. It was clear. If they could get more than a glimpse out of people, that dogs eyes would eviscerate every last motorcar and deplete the worlds oil reserves to less than nothing. I think they were beyond any control of the dog, be he living or dead. They would ignite flame and freeze hearts if only they could capture more than a glimpse.
