It all starts with some spontaneous flower as if flowers can just pop in out of thin air. I suppose it's nice to pretend that they can because growing them is a lot harder, what with all that water wasted and the effort and the heartbreak when something wilts, or just doesn't bloom.
You know, I watch myself in conversations and I feel like I am all there, full bloom, watching as she articulates a useless process of horticulture. Look! I want to say, "Here's a flower, popped in, out of nowhere, no water, no blossoming, just- you know. Ready, and open, and all that."
But no one believes it. If it comes out of nowhere with no care or effort, it's got to be a weed extracted by the roots before it spreads: A dandelion with rose ambitions.
But what are you working for? I'm right here, waiting. How long do you need, for this? Aren't we all looking for a flower with wide open petals? Because we seem to spend a lot of time forcing them back to seeds, as if only then can we trust them.
Get me out of this flower show I want to be everywhere in full bloom; it's useless to pretend I'm a seed.
