When I'm attached I'm attached. I can do both at the same time can't I? So why can't I figure out what you are? When you visit me everyday shouldn't I see you clearer each time? When does the tide change? What makes the shift happen?
And .. Then there are my favorite spells, ones that come back and ask me to look at them one more time. Oh, please, won't you just come and play this one time? ...that's the of the lonely. But it's also the cry of one who has nowhere else to go but to you. You're the only one. You're it. There's no one else to go to, so where else but to you. So you water it, and you feed it.
