Hi Joe,

I was merely pointing out that it's not as accurate. The solution proposed 
would work, but would not be accurate. For rough information (as a FIX 
equivalent of the network PING request) it would work just fine.

I was merely saying that we have found in practive that it's not worth the 
effort, since the value derived is not of high enough value.

I totally agree that the solution that worked for us is at the network level 
(outside of FIX) but requires FIX knowledge to correlate the messages together. 
There are some network level vendors that do this.
