March 11th, 2009 – FIX Protocol Ltd. (FPL) is proud to announce the appointment
of Mr. Edward Mangles as the new FPL Asia Pacific Regional Director and Mr.
Stuart Adams as the new EMEA Regional Director. FPL is dedicated to ensuring
that the benefits of the FIX Protocol and electronic trading are effectively
communicated to all market participants to encourage greater adoption and usage
throughout the trade lifecycle. Mr. Mangles and Mr. Adams will be the lead
points of contact to the execution centers across the globe by establishing
relationships and educating them on the latest versions and / or any new
technologies released by the FPL organisation. Additionally, they will work
towards building an understanding of the benefits of FIX across the regulatory
community on an international basis and they will be responsible for educating
regulatory bodies on the usage of FIX as a tool to help achieve greater market
efficiency.

After conducting a public search that yielded several highly qualified
candidates, a selection committee comprised of leaders from the FPL Global
Steering Committee, chose these two extremely qualified individuals based on
their unique understanding of the electronic trading markets and their
significant levels of industry experience.

Mr. Adams has worked within the financial technology sector for more than 20
years. Most recently as Head of European Operations at Portware, he was
responsible for setting up the firm’s London office and developing senior
industry relationships to establish the business in Europe. Prior to this, Mr.
Adams undertook a number of different assignments including the position of
Managing Director of AKJ, a technology solutions provider for the hedge fund
and asset management community, SEO of Brut ECN Europe and Institutional Sales
Director for Instinet Global Services. Commenting on his recent appointment
Mr. Adams stated “At a time where cost savings and achieving technical
efficiencies matter more than ever, I look forward to ensuring the benefits and
latest developments offered by the FIX Protocol are clearly understood by the
industry to make sure that firms are kept at the forefront of technological
innovation.”

Mr. Mangles also has a long history within the financial technology sector and
has held a close relationship with FPL for a number of years. Mr. Mangles is
the Founder and Publisher of FIXGlobal, the official FPL publication, and he
has supported the organisation’s Asia Pacific committee for the past 7 years,
playing a key role in promoting FIX adoption across the region. He has also
worked for leading financial publishing and marketing firms in both London and
Hong Kong. Commenting on his appointment, Mr. Mangles stated “Having worked
closely with the community of FIX adopters in Asia for many years, I am very
excited about this new role. This position will allow me to develop stronger
relationships with not only the buy-side, sell-side and vendor community, but
increasingly the region's regulators and trading venues to ensure that FIX
adoption is seen as fundamental to increasing efficiencies across their
respective markets.”

John Fildes, Co-chair of the FPL Global Steering Committee and Managing
Director of Instinet Pacific added “On behalf of the FPL organisation, I would
like to welcome both Stuart and Edward to these new positions. I believe these
individuals hold the skills, knowledge and experience required to significantly
increase awareness and adoption of the FIX Protocol globally within coming
years, an advancement which will be of huge benefit to all users.”
