Are you talking about a FIX gateway? It will support FIX session messages, and
carry application level messages. It can support multiple front end OMSes, and
share a single FIX bi-directional session. It really dose not care about the
appliation level messages in FIX body.

FixExpress is a gateway running in a Linux server. It provides an incoming
message queue, and an outgoing message queue. A simple multi-thread connector
will provide the connections for front end trader application. They will share
the same FIX session to communicate with sell-side broker, or exchange.

Good luck,
Changpeng Yu
