Mario,
Do you want to go from FIXML into some flat file format? or From FIXML into a 
flat file?

There are tools out there that do this, and  I have done a similar thing using 
a XML data binding tool (Liquid technologies - though there are plenty of 
others) to take the FIXML schema (.xsd) from this FIXProtocol and churn out 
c++/C# classes which I then used to handle the data in Flat format.
