July 1st, 2009 – FIX Protocol Limited (FPL) is proud to announce that Andrew
Parry of J.P. Morgan Investment Bank has been elected as Co-Chair of the FPL
Global Derivatives Committee. In this new position, Mr. Parry, who is based in
London, will work closely alongside Co-Chair Tayloe Draughon of Newedge
Financial to lead the organisation’s efforts as it seeks to develop the FIX
Protocol to meet the evolving requirements of the Derivatives asset class and
promote greater standardisation within this space.

Mr. Parry is currently a Lead Architect within Global Equity Derivatives at
J.P. Morgan’s Investment Bank. Prior to joining the firm he held a range of
different positions at Deutsche Bank and Instinet.

Commenting on his recent election Mr. Parry stated, “I am delighted to be
elected as Co-Chair of the FPL Global Derivatives Committee. Adoption of the
protocol has increased significantly over recent years and it has become
central to both the cash and derivative product markets. FIX has achieved this
growth because it presents a pragmatic and valuable solution that can be
applied to the real world challenges of automating and integrating the
financial markets. Within this position I look forward to working closely with
industry participants to continue to shape this growth as we move into a world
which is likely to feature reduced product complexity, greater regulation,
ever-increasing volumes and lower margins.”

In welcoming Mr. Parry to this position, FPL would also like to take the
opportunity to thank his predecessor, John Munro of Rolfe & Nolan, who served
in this position on behalf of the Futures Industry Association (FIA) for more
than 6 years. FPL and the FIA benefit from a Statement of Understanding and
work collaboratively to promote the use of standards within the futures and
options market. As part of this agreement, the FPL Global Derivatives
Committee benefits from one leader that represents the interests of FPL and one
that represents those of the FIA. The FIA has selected Tayloe Draughon as its
chosen representative for the next term.

Additionally, FPL would like to congratulate Jay Hurley of Morgan Stanley who
has recently been re-elected as Co-Chair of the FPL Global Foreign Exchange
Committee, a position that he has held since July 2007. Mr Hurley is currently
based in Hong Kong and has more than 10 years experience within the investment
banking industry working primarily on FIX-based electronic trading solutions
for equity and foreign exchange products. He will continue to serve in this
position alongside Co-Chair Bill Specht of Currenex.
