Hi, I believe that it hasn't been stated clearly that the Order id (37) should remain same through out the life of an order in the specs. Although I have experienced the norm of FIX is that tag 37 remains same through out the life cycle of an order and it should be followed as its more convenient to track the orders if this rule is followed. I have another example in which once we are receiving a Cancel Reject Message on a Cancel Request of a multi leg order the order ID (37) changes and is equal to what is sent in tag 11. 20090821-16:24:33 8=FIX.4.2 9=196 35=9 34=337 52=20090821-16:24:33 49=JPMCOS 50=BSDMA 56=FIXMIX 11=HAP205800018 37=HAP205800018 39=8 41=HAP-9524-1 58=55: See Other Leg for Errors 128=MIXHAPO 434=1 654=9524_1 9 Let me know if there are any additions any body would like to make.
