As the financial services industry continues to witness increased use of high frequency trading interfaces it has been proposed that the use of a standardised protocol in this space would prove significantly beneficial. To meet this demand FPL will be formulating a FIX for High Frequency Trading Working Group to develop a highly efficient and very concise protocol for electronic trading, which is optimised to support very high frequency trading, but which can scale up to support even the most complex instructions. The Working Group’s initial meeting will be held in London on December 1st at 3pm UK time, for delegates unable to attend in-person there will also be a dial-in option. If you would like to participate in this group please contact the FPL Program Office by email at [email protected] to be added to the distribution list and to receive the meeting details. The meeting room has limited capacity so please advise on registering if you wish to attend in person. Initial leaders of the Working Group will be determined at the inaugural meeting.
