Do you know why they are being mailed Standard (3rd) Class rather
than Periodical (2nd) Class? That would assure more timely delivery
as well as cheaper postage. I am sure that as a membership
publication of the NFHR there would be little problem in qualifying.
Sure, there would be a few more hoops to jump through for the Post
Office, but if it was cheaper and got better delivery, why not go
for it?
That is being looked into right now Steve. I have applied for an ISSN for
the Fjord Herald & after we get that we will apply for the periodical
rate. The new mailing house we are using has a permit for the periodical
rate. Not sure how long this will take but we are pursuing the possibility
of mailing it 2nd class or periodical rate.
