Thank you Jean Ernest for alerting us on scams. We have ad on Carriage Mart to sell a Studebaker two-seat buggy for $3000. On Jan. 24, we receives an e-mail from "Larry Pert" offering to buy the wagon for $3000. However, a creditor of his owed him $8500 and he wanted to send that check to us so that we could cash the check - take out $3000 and return to him a check for $5500 to his shipper through Western Union transfer. We thought this very strange and were going to get professional help, but after reading "scamming the scammers", our e-mail read almost identical to the other scammers. Spelling and grammar were very bad also. His first e-mail just said that he wanted to buy the wagon and wanted to know our address and phone number, which we sent him. The second e-mail was the details on how he wanted to pay us. Krist
