<Cross-breeding .... VERBOTEN, FORBIDDEN, UNTHINKABLE! I agree wholeheartedly, and as a Bauer, this subject is ingrained in me. I wanted to mention that when I work with an Internet inquiry I ask lots of questions about stock that people have. I know they can lie, as they can to any of you also but I know the problems. Recently, when they said things like "husband and wife team" I asked "stallion?...." Then I alert the breeder / seller of the possible problem... This addage backfired on me when I thought I was warning the breeder and I returned an email to the person who owned the "stallion". It mentioned my concerns about improper breeding ethics. When he return it to me saying "Did you intend this to come to me?" I had egg on my face, but wrote him right away saying "My heart is really behind this issue, so if yours is, you will understand my ethics and this letter won't offend you." To date he has not purchased a fjord...... New fjords available in NY, New Brunswick (Canada), Quebec and Miami - anyone interested? Here's hoping your HAPPY NEW YEAR has a Fjord in it!
