Well, hey, I'll throw in my introduction to the FjordHorse list. I live in northeastern Iowa (USA) with 1 husband, 1 dog, 4 horses, 5 cats, and 6 birds. We have a small 7-acre place in the country.
One horse, Frosty, is a 7 year old grade (unregistered) Rocky Mountain horse. The other three are brown-dun Fjords: Tuopen (age 7), a gelding; Sissel (4) a mare; and Samfinn (1) a (for now) stud colt. Tuopen is a harness horse learning about saddles, Sissel is green broke to saddle and harness, and Finny is learning about standing tied, being groomed, and leading quietly. It's been raining most of today, so the pasture and barnyard are ankle-deep in mud. The ponies are dozing under the protection of the barn's roof overhang, dreaming horse dreams about warm sun and green grass. The dog just barked to come inside out of the wet and take a nap. I'm tempted to join them for a snooze! DeeAnna Weed Coyote Run Farm Postville, Iowa
