I have to confess that I do kiss our horses occasionally. They are just
so precious and we love them soooooooo much. Even one of our vets,
Rena, kisses them!!! So, we know it's okay...hahaha... now, the dogs are
different. They eat what comes out of the horses butt, so there's no
kissing the dogs. I avoid their licks too!!!

I have a serious ? for you all. This may be the wrong time to ask (with
all this stuff about kissing...haha...), but I'm going too. Do Fjord
horses have oilier skin than other breeds? I have had a morgan gelding
for 7 years and he never had had a dirty sheath like my Fjord. I have
cleaned his sheath 3-4 times in 2 months. He gets all this black gunky
stuff around and on it. The vet actually cleaned it majorly thoroughly
the first time, because I was so dumb and thought he was infected...but
we all learn somehow...

Another subject: we just had to put our 6 year old dobie down due to
liver failure. I thought I'd let you know that our vet thinks she ate
poisoness mushrooms. We did have some mushrooms on our lawn and think
that did it. She was the most awsome and gorgeous dobie... and we will
miss her. So, if you all see mushrooms around your place, get rid of
them.

Do any of you own one of those gorgeous ______mountain dogs??? They
look like a rott/saint bernard mix??? I have liked the look of those,
but don't know much about their temperments yet???

Have a great weekend, the sun is now shining in on me through our
window, and outside is absolutely gorgeous!!! The oak trees couldn't be
more yellow/orange. Gotta go feed our babies!!!

God Bless,

Lori
