This worm originated in Israel on Sunday, and within hours Symantec AntiVirus Research Center (SARC) had a fix for this malicious program. Worm.ExploreZip is a worm that contains a malicious payload. The worm utilizes MAPI commands and Microsoft Outlook on Windows systems to propagate itself. The worm was first discovered in Israel and submitted to the Symantec AntiVirus Research Center on June 6, 1999. The virus definition updates released 6/9/99, dated 6/7/99, contain full detection to protect from this worm. They are available for downloading at http://www.symantec.com/avcenter/download.html or by running LiveUpdate.
